Vincent Laforet (an amazing still photographer and video powerhouse) has just released a gear list on his blog that could possibly lead me to homelessness. He includes all the latest DSLR video gear that any professional would die to have in their arsenal. He also notes what each piece is used for and why he uses it. A great reference for anyone looking to make a wish list.
Team Friendship represented well at the 2010 24 Hour Knoxville Film Festival for our film “Granted“. The competition was stiff, but our crew came home with “Best Cinematography” and “Best Director”. Thanks to everyone…Eric, Courtney, Tim, Chaney, Logan, Trevor, and Jeff for the hard work and awesome experience.
We won a 2 day jib and dolly rental as well as a 2 day RED Camera rental. Expect to see something very exciting from these tools this football season featuring a well known basketball player/rapper.
On August 17, 2010 I became part of a group of 7 co-workers that decided to enter a 24 hour short-film contest in Knoxville. At 7pm we were given 3 items that had to be included in our 4 minute short…1. A landlord 2. A dictionary 3. Must use the phrase “try to be incognito when you meet them”. For the next four hours we brainstormed and came up with this. While we were figuring out what to do I contacted my friend Jeff Beeler who starred and did an amazing job in the film. We ended up shooting until sunrise and editing until about 5pm the next day. The 22 hours flew by and now it’s time for some sleep. Enjoy.
**This film was awarded “Best Cinematography” and “Best Director” at the Knoxville 24 Hour Film Festival awards.
I entered into my first 24 hour film contest with a few people I work with at Tennessee. It’s been a lot of fun so far, but we still have several hours of editing to go. Here is a sneak peek into what we have done so far.
Got in some moto today at Duncan’s with Doug, Ben, and Jay. We started out around 9am and beat most of the heat. Here’s a few shots I grabbed with the Flip Cam of the guys riding.
